Forecast 21-26 Oct 2025
As the Deyr season begins in several areas, rainfall activity is expected to increase across the country. From the south-central to the south-western regions, light to moderate rainfall (20–50 mm) is anticipated, with some isolated areas likely to remain dry. The northern regions are expected to experience generally dry conditions, except for isolated areas in Sool that may receive light rains. Additionally, the upper catchment of the Juba River is forecasted to receive moderate to heavy rainfall exceeding 150 mm. The water level of the Juba River is expected to rise slightly before gradually decreasing, while the Shebelle River at Beledweyne is anticipated to continue declining during the forecast period.
